Description

The SKB 3RS-14U20-22B is a 14-unit shock rack from the 3RS Series, designed for ultimate protection and transport of sensitive electronic equipment. It is lightweight, shockproof, watertight, dustproof, heat and chemical resistant, making it ideal for rugged environments. The inner rack chassis is constructed from high-strength aluminum alloy extrusions with 11-gauge hot rolled carbon steel rack rails, ensuring durability while meeting EIA-310 standards. The shock and vibration mitigation system features eight (8) elastomeric isolators, rated for payloads between 40 lbs to 150 lbs (with an optional extended range of 160 lbs to 300 lbs available by special order). The interior frame and shocks allow air circulation and heat dissipation, ensuring the safety of the enclosed equipment.

The rugged roto-molded shell, made from LMDP Linear Medium Density Polyethylene, meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810H standards. Measuring 20″ deep rail-to-rail with a 19″ standard rack width, it includes square-hole rack rails to accommodate #10-32 US standard or 6mm international standard cage nuts (supplied with the case).

The case is stackable with SKB 3RR and 3RS cases, as well as competitor models, thanks to its molded-in stacking ribs and lugs. The 2″ deep front and rear lids provide additional space for extended rack gear. Other key features include black powder-coated recessed stainless steel hardware, an automatic pressure relief valve, gasket-sealed lids with built-in lid hangers, comfort grip spring-loaded lift handles, and coupling straps for secure stacking.
